Youth Apprenticeship Program
The Owensboro Symphony Youth Apprenticeship Program provides high school students the opportunity to learn the ins and outs of what makes a concert happen through direct connection with the Owensboro Symphony staff during a concert weekend.
You Will Learn:
- How 75+ musicians come together to perform a concert in just 30 hours
- What it takes to put on a symphony production
- How to interact with musicians, guest artists, stage crew, and more
- The stage set up for the orchestra
- Problem solving skills
Apprentices will receive community service credit for volunteer hours. Exceptional students in the program may also receive letters of recommendation for college applications and consideration for paid opportunities in special concert settings.
