U.S. Bank has sponsored the Owensboro Symphony’s annual Concert on the Lawn since 1987. To some this concert represents an end-of-summer gathering; to others, it marks the beginning of another amazing season for the Owensboro Symphony, but one thing is for sure; this is a summer tradition enjoyed by all.
Troy Quinn and the Owensboro Symphony will present the 37th Concert on the Lawn on Saturday, August 24, 2024 at 7 p.m. on the front lawn of Kentucky Wesleyan College with picnicking to begin at 5:30 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to pack a picnic and bring their lawn chairs for this free community concert.
“This year the concert will be filled with nostalgia! The audience will enjoy a wide array of music made famous by their favorite TV shows, including themes from Dallas, Magnum P.I., The Flintstones, Star Trek, sports, game shows, and much more,” said Troy Quinn, Owensboro Symphony Music Director and Conductor. “Everyone will hear something they know!”
There will be several food trucks on site or patrons may reserve tables and meals (catered by Moonlite) if they wish.
- Table, chairs and dinner for 8 people can be reserved for $400.
- Table and eight chairs only can be reserved for $200.
All tables and meal reservations must be made by noon on Friday, August 23 by calling the Symphony at 270-684-0661 or online at OwensboroSymphony.org.
Patrons that reserve tables often participate in the table decorating contest and are encouraged to decorate their tables with the TV Classics theme in mind.
