Originally from Dallas, TX, Andre Daniel completed a bachelor of music at the University of North Texas under the guidance of Julia Bushkova. Now pursuing a master’s degree at the Jacobs School of Music as a student of Alexander Kerr, Andre is a member of the Owensboro Symphony and Evansville Philharmonic. Dedicated to both chamber and symphonic playing, Andre is an alumnus of UNT’s undergraduate string quartet program and served as concertmaster of the UNT Concert Orchestra, with additional studies at the Castleman Quartet Program in Fredonia, NY and two summers spent at the Schleswig-Holstein Festival Orchestra in Rendsburg, Germany. In addition to his performing interests, Andre has been lucky to teach privately and in local music schools throughout his time at UNT, with one summer spent as a cabin counselor to three talented groups of young artists at the Interlochen Arts Camp, where he is also an alumnus.
