OWENSBORO, KY (October 20, 2026) – The Owensboro Symphony will open its 61st Season, sponsored by Owensboro Health, with Halloween Classics on Saturday, October 24 at 7 p.m. at the RiverPark Center.

Celebrate a decade of music-making as Music Director Troy Quinn launches his 10th season with a thrilling night of mystery and spectacle. This Halloween-inspired program blends haunting orchestral works with cinematic favorites, including selections from The Witches of Eastwick, Vertigo, and The Nightmare Before Christmas, alongside the dramatic grandeur of The Phantom of the Opera. Special guest Chad Benefield takes center stage in a monstrous mashup, adding electrifying energy to the evening. The program culminates with Richard Strauss’s powerful orchestral work Death and Transfiguration, a bold and unforgettable start to the season.

“Opening Night is always a special opportunity to bring our community together through the power of music,” said Troy Quinn, Owensboro Symphony Music Director/Conductor. “With Halloween Classics, we’re kicking off the season with a program full of thrilling, dramatic, and unforgettable music that reminds us how the orchestra can surprise, excite, and connect audiences of all ages.”

The Opening Night performance is made possible through the generous support of our Premier Sponsor Bricker Graydon Wyatt LLP and Community Partner Martina Temple.
