Suzuki Playdown

The Owensboro Symphony’s first-ever Suzuki Playdown brings together young musicians from across the region who study the Suzuki Method, their teachers, and members of the Owensboro Symphony. Playdowns are a time-honored Suzuki tradition in which students of all ages and abilities perform their shared Suzuki repertoire together. Through this performance, participants will honor the late Dr. Joan Mack and celebrate the lasting impact of music education, mentorship, and the connections created through music.

Music, friendship, and learning come together through the unifying Suzuki repertoire for a day of master and group classes, chamber music, and performing together. Join us as we celebrate the life and impact of the late Dr. Joan Mack as well as many other teachers in the musical community.
