Bonnie Farr holds the position of oboe and English horn in the Owensboro Symphony Orchestra and the Evansville Philharmonic. She is an active freelancer who regularly guests with the orchestras of Louisville, Lexington, Knoxville, Fort Wayne, Lima, Illinois, and others throughout the Midwest United States. She has a private teaching studio at her home-base in Cincinnati, and is the Adjunct Professor of Oboe at Northern Kentucky University and Ohio Northern University. During the summer months she teaches at Interlochen Arts Camp. Also a certified yoga teacher through the Indian Yoga Association, she specializes in improving the physical and mental wellness of musicians, teaching seminars on “Yoga and Meditation for Musicians” at several national conferences and universities. When not making music, Bonnie can be found taking ballet class, pursuing vinyl record stores, or spending time at home with her two cats and extensive plant collection. Bonnie earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s of Music degrees at Cincinnati’s College-Conservatory of Music. She grew up in Knoxville, Tennessee.
