Aidos hails from Almaty, Kazakhstan. He began his musical journey at the age of seven, enrolling in the Zhubanov Specialized Music School to study cello. In the eighth grade, he decided to switch to the double bass.
From an early age, Aidos participated in numerous national and international competitions, earning many prizes and accolades.
He graduated from the Moscow State Conservatory named after P. I. Tchaikovsky, where he studied double bass under Professor Rustem Gabdullin. During his time in Moscow, Aidos worked with professional orchestras and performed as a guest musician. Notably, he collaborated with the Moscow State Symphony Orchestra and the Russian National Orchestra.
Aidos has worked with renowned conductors such as Gennady Rozhdestvensky, Alexander Lazarev, Pavel Kogan, Vladimir Jurowski, and Maxim Emelyanychev.
After completing his studies in Moscow, Aidos returned to Kazakhstan and joined the State Academic Symphony Orchestra of the Republic of Kazakhstan. After two fruitful years with the orchestra, he decided to further his education at Columbus State University, Schwob School of Music, studying under Dr. Patricia Weitzel, and later with Ben Crofut and Nick Scholefield.
Currently, Aidos is a student at Indiana University’s Jacobs School of Music, studying under Professor Kurt Muroki.
Aidos is a member of the Owensboro Symphony Orchestra and serves as Principal Bass in the Terre Haute Symphony Orchestra. During his time in the U.S., he has also performed with the Montgomery Symphony Orchestra (AL), LaGrange Symphony Orchestra (GA), and Albany Symphony Orchestra (GA), Columbus Symphony Orchestra (GA).
Aidos has participated twice in the Tsinandali Festival, collaborating with prominent conductors such as Gianandrea Noseda, Jukka-Pekka Saraste, Lahav Shani, Oksana Lyniv, Charles Dutoit, and Vasily Petrenko. His talent has been personally recognized by Pinchas Zukerman and Vilde Frang.
In addition to the double bass, Aidos is skilled in playing the electric bass, guitar, cello, and piano.
In his free time, he enjoys hiking, swimming, yoga, and reading books on self-development. Aidos is always on the lookout for new knowledge and inspiration.
