Paul Zmick is a cellist in the Owensboro Symphony Orchestra, Evansville Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Columbus Indiana Philharmonic. He is currently pursuing a doctorate in cello performance at Indiana University’s Jacobs School of Music in the class of Emilio Colón. He also studies baroque cello with Joanna Blendulf and music theory. Prior to studying at IU, he earned an undergraduate degree from Baylor University and a Master of Music degree from the DePaul University School of Music.
Paul has previously been active in a wide range of ensembles, such as the Terre Haute Symphony Orchestra, Bloomington Bach Cantata Project, The Chicago Composers’ Orchestra, Illinois Symphony Orchestra, and the Waco Symphony Orchestra. He was a principal cellist in orchestras of the Round Top Festival Institute and the Brevard Music Center.
