A long-time member of the Owensboro Symphony, Betsy received her bachelor’s degree from Capital University, studying with Andrew Lisko, followed by seven years of study with Michael Davis at Ohio State University. Other teachers include Michel Samson and Gregory Fulkerson. She is a former member of the Columbus (OH) Symphony, Pro Musica Chamber Orchestra, and West Virginia Symphony, and has performed with the Louisville Orchestra, Fort Wayne Philharmonic, Evansville Philharmonic, Orchestra Kentucky, Wheeling Symphony, and Bedford Springs Festival, among others. She also served as concertmaster of two community orchestras in Louisville (6 years and 5 years respectively). She has performed with the Broadway Series, Louisville Ballet, and several musical theater companies in the Louisville area. She is also a member of Trio Louisville. Betsy works full-time as a library assistant at Kornhauser Health Sciences Library at University of Louisville, and she lives with her husband, Michael, and their two cats.
