Wendi Li joined the Owensboro Symphony for the 2023–24 season. Previously, Li has performed with the New World Symphony, Evansville Philharmonic Orchestra, Terre Haute Symphony Orchestra and Columbus Indiana Philharmonic.
In recent seasons, Li has performed at the Spoleto Festival U.S.A., Sarasota Music Festival, Chautauqua Music Festival, Bowdoin International Music Festival and Brevard Music Center. As an avid orchestral and chamber musician, Li has collaborated with renowned artists such as Sergei Babayan, Anne-Marie McDermott, Joshua Bell, Anne Akiko Meyers,Randall Goosby, Jennifer Frautschi, Margaret Batjer, Teng Li, and Hai Ye Ni. Her mentors include Mrs. Almita Vamos, Gabriel Pegis, Robin Scott, Ayano Ninomiya, the Pacifica Quartet, and the Jupiter Quartet.
Born and raised in China, Li is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree at Indiana University under the guidance of Simin Ganatra. She also has a cat named Oliver.
